This picturesque Georgian style home located across from West Side Park in downtown Champaign was built in 1900 by banker, John Trevett of the Trevett Mattis Bank. Bill and Geneva Owens purchased the home in 1940 preserving one of Champaign County's most impressive homes. Among it's many features are leaded glass windows, imported Roman style 'buttered brick' exterior walls measuring 14 inches thick, Italian marble fireplaces and oak, cherry and birch woodwork throughout.
