About Us

Owens Funeral Home was founded in 1925 by Bill and Geneva Owens. It was purchased by Bud Owens (son of Bill and Geneva) in 1968. Jim and Judy (Owens) Yost purchased the funeral home from Dorothy Owens after Bud's death in 1986. Today, Owens Funeral Home is operated by siblings, Jay Yost and Julia 'Jill' Yost (great-grandchildren of Bill and Geneva), creating the 4th generation of the Owens family dedicated to serving the community.
