William Tedder Obituary
William O. Tedder, 82, of Monticello, died at 2:47 AM, Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Bauler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
William was born December 17, 1926 in Plainview, Arkansas the son of W.S. and America (Barnett) Tedder. He married Evelyn Brooks on February 23, 1947 in Urbana. She died on March 14, 1975. He married Betty Stunkard on August 21, 1992 in Sidney. She died on April 24, 1999.
Surviving is a son: Michael Tedder of Des Plaines and a daughter: Janice Cetwinski of Elmhurst. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Mr. Tedder was a Realtor for 50 plus years. He was a signalman in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Lions Club, American Legion, Moose, Elks and Eagles.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
