William McMullen Obituary
William E. McMullen, 86, of Sullivan, formerly of Monticello passed away at 6:40 PM, Monday, February 15, 2010 at Mason Point, Sullivan.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Dan Perry and Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
William was born January 1, 1924 in Springfield, the son of Bard and Blanche (Rex) McMullen. He married Josephine Norfleet on January 26, 1945 in Monticello. She died October 22, 2002.
Survivors include his daughter; Susan Perry (husband Dan) of Decatur and son; Ed McMullen (wife Cheryl) of Mesa, AZ., 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
William was a retired painting contractor and supervisor at General Cable. William was a 54 year member of the Masonic Lodge #58 AF & AM in Monticello. He enjoyed following his grandchildren and going fishing.
Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital or donors choice.
