William McDonald

William R. McDonald, age 92, of Mahomet, Illinois, passed away on December 12, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1933, in Champaign, Illinois. William graduated from Urbana High School and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

After more than 40 years in the printing business, William retired as Administrative Vice President of KOWA Graphics. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching old Westerns, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

William is survived by his wife of 72 years, Carol (Morfey); his children, Vickie Fulton (Todd), Mark McDonald, Brian McDonald (Linda), and Cindy Smith (Tim); his sister, Sharon Lamb (Carroll); nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Elkins and Vern McDonald; his stepfather, Tom Elkins; and his brother, Steve Elkins.

A private graveside service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the BrightFocus Foundation.
