Waneta Ellis Obituary
Waneta J. Ellis, 85 of Monticello, passed away at 7:35 AM, Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. No Visitation. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Waneta was born March 27, 1924 in Cisco the daughter of Lillie Gadbury Samuels. She married Frank A. Ellis, Jr. on December 2, 1945 in Monticello. He passed away May 15, 2008.
Surviving is her son: Stanley D. (Marsha) Ellis of Monticello, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Waneta was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Waneta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and loved playing the piano and organ.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or the Piattran.
