Vicki Lynn Moss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL, on July 25, 2024, at 7:40 PM.
Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Coffman Butler Oliver; her father, Harold Butler; her brother, Harold Butler Jr.; her great-grandson, Mekhi J. Woods; as well as two nephews, Jeremy and Jordan Black. She was also preceded by her stepfather, stepbrother, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Larry D. Moss; her son, Gregory DePriest; her daughter, Kristen Mosley; along with eight cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Vicki also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss her greatly.
A service to honor Vicki's life will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2403 West Kirby Ave, Champaign, IL 61821 on Friday August 2. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Urbana.
Vicki graduated from Parkland College and Eastern Illinois University. She spent her career as a Certified Addictions Counselor, retiring from Prairie Center Health and Champaign County Drug Court. Vicki was known for her unwavering passion and dedication in serving God, her community, and her family.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
