Terry Lee Gilliland

Terry Lee Gilliland, 80, of Urbana, passed away peacefully at 9:20 am, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center.

Terry was born on June 3, 1943 in Champaign, the son of Aldon and Pearl (Johnson) Gilliland.

He completed culinary classes while living in Washington. He was a cook in several restaurants and at a local nursing home. He also worked in Florida and Washington.
He loved calling and playing bingo and helping his sisters decorate for Christmas. He loved playing cards and telling jokes.

Terry is survived by one son, Terry, Jr. two sisters: Marilyn Hardig and Dollie Smith; one brother: Frank Gilliland.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Lyle “Pete” and Gerald “Cracker” Gilliland and two sisters: Joyce Brownfield and Pat Wood.

He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends. In honor of Terry’s request, there will be no funeral services.
