Steven Quick

Steven Ernest Quick, 72, of St. Joseph, passed away March 1, 2026, at Carle Hospital.

Born August 29, 1953, in Bloomington, Ill., he was the son of the late Ernest and Lucele Quick. Steven served in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic and later worked as a maintenance manager for Target. On January 4, 1998, he married Sherry Quick. He was active in the community as a SEA Scout leader in Rantoul. A longtime lighthouse enthusiast, Steven loved visiting and collecting lighthouse memorabilia and delighted neighbors each year by putting on an elaborate Christmas light show.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Quick; daughter Hannah Quick; sons Phillip Todd and Timothy Quick; brother Gordon Quick of Raleigh, N.C.; and sisters Joni Barrowcliff of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Anderea Nelson of Fisher, Ill.

A memorial service will be held March 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Roch’s Place, St. Joseph, IL 61873
