Steven Mitchell Obituary
Steven R. Mitchell, 58, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his residence.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Monticello Township Cemetery with Rev. Michael Heiniger officiating. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello is handling the arrangements.
Steven was born December 19, 1949 in Chicago, IL the son of Marshal and Marie Ann (Isreal) Mitchell.
Surviving are his mother; Marie Ann Mitchell of Monticello, brothers; Marty Mitchell of Groveland, Kevin Mitchell of Portland, OR, Mark Mitchell of Seattle, WA, sister; Melissa Mitchell of Rantoul, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Marshal Mitch Mitchell.
Steven was a former employee of the Piatt County Nursing Home. Steven graduated from Westview High School in Kankakee in 1968. Steven attended Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, WI. He was a very talented artist specializing in pen, ink, and water color.
Memorials can be made to the Piatt County Food Pantry, Faith in Action or Donors Choice.
