Stephen Slivon

Stephen Steele Slivon, a longtime resident of Urbana, died March 7, 2019, in Urbana. He was a University of Illinois graduate and was employed by the university for many years. He served in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer from 1966-1967.

Steve is survived by his sisters, Mary Slivon Hurdelbrink, Sylvia Ronsvalle and Louise Fleming; his brothers-in-law, Doug Hurdelbrink, John Ronsvalle and Jim Fleming; his nephew, Charlie Fleming and Charlie's wife Alli Reed; and the hundreds of people whose lives he touched.

Donations in his name can be made to Wounded Warriors. A memorial is being planned and will take place in June.
