Shannon Stillabower

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Shannon Stillabower, who left us too soon at the age of 53 on February 2, 2025, in Champaign IL.

Born on March 27th 1971 in Champaign IL Shannon lived a life filled with love, warmth, and generosity. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her. Her caring nature, infectious laughter, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to call her family or friend.

Her legacy lives on through her husband Steve Stillabower; daughter: Alexis Stillabower who is currently carrying Shannon’s first grandchild due in June; son-in-law: Treton Fuller; mother Paula Simpson and father Charles Lyons, step-mother: Linda Lyons: step-sister: Kristi; aunt Peggy Evan’s and uncle Tony Evan’s and many cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her brother Shane Lyons and grandmother Joslyn Lyons.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11am at Owens Funeral Home in Champaign. The visitation will be held from 10-11 AM at the funeral home where family and friends can come together to share memories and honor the beautiful life Shannon led. The burial will be private.
