Ryan Stricklin Obituary
Ryan William Stricklin, 16, of White Heath, died at 11:57 AM, Monday, August 3, 2009 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Mackey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. The body will be cremated prior to services.
Ryan was born September 21, 1992 in Urbana the son of Don G. and Anne (Elliott) Stricklin.
Surviving are his mother: Anne (Mike) Drummond of White Heath, father: Don G. Stricklin of Mahomet, brother: Aaron Wesley Stricklin of White Heath, grandparents: Nelle Rollins of Rantoul, Dan and Stephanie Drummond of Hondo, TX and Doreen Stricklin of Clarksville, Ark., great grandmother: Betty Wilkes of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers (Clyde Wesley Elliott and Bill Stricklin).
Ryan was a student at Monticello High School. He was a self taught drum player, enjoyed playing baseball and working out with his friends at the fitness center. Ryan was a friend to everyone and especially loved his dog Romeo.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ryan W. Stricklin Scholarship Fund c/o First Mid-Illinois Bank and Trust of Monticello 100 W. Washington St. Monticello, IL 61856.
