Ruth Parsons Obituary
Ruth E. Parsons, 88, of Monticello, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Heiniger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Ruth was born September 1, 1923 in Centerville, IL the daughter of John C. and Bessie F. (Groomes) Mackey. She married Robert Bob Parsons on June 8, 1940 in Urbana, IL.
Surviving is her sons; Ronnie D. Parsons of Cisco and Terry E. Parsons of Bement, her daughter; Frances E. Dubson of Monticello, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother; Olen M. Mackey of Lilburn, GA and a sister Darlene M. Floyd of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers and sisters and 4 half-brothers and sisters.
Ruth was a retired factory worker from Viobin in Monticello.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or an organization of the Donors Choice.
