Ruth M Henson

Ruth M. Henson, 86, of Bement, died at 8:38 AM, April 13, 2011 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with David Clark officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be held in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Ruth was born September 2, 1924 in Monticello the daughter of Virgil Madison and Zona (Dalton) Thompson. She married Roy W. Henson on March 22, 1946 in Urbana. Roy died September 29, 2002.
Survivors include her son; Tony Henson of Bement, daughters; Christie Blancett of Decatur, Darla Neidel of Mahomet, and Deby Clark of Beloit, WI, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a sister; Dessie Robinson of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ruth was a homemaker and worked at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Kirby Hospital, and the Allerton House. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking, cooking, all stray animals and especially her cats.
Memorials may be made to Kirby Hospital or the Bement Health Care Center.
