Russell Cloud Obituary

Russell L. Cloud, age 81 of Monticello, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at 2:00 P.M. February 10, 2012 at the Piatt County Nursing Home. Russell was born January 22, 1931 in Danville, Illinois the son Albert and Mary (Crumpton) Cloud. He married Ruthine (Sims) on December 25, 1949 in Summer Shade, Kentucky. Russell is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruthine of Monticello, son Mark (Linda) Cloud of Kansas City, MO. 2 Grandchildren Matt and Amy Cloud of Kansas City, MO. Brothers Robert Cloud of Hillsboro TN. And Ronald Cloud of Hoopeston, IL; and Sister Ethel Probasco of Milford, IL. Russell was preceded by his parents, 1 half brother Delton Cloud, and 1 half sister Merle Cloud. Russell graduated from John Greer High School in 1949 and SIU Carbondale, IL in 1953. He spent 2 years in the Army from 1953 to 1955. Russell worked at FMC in Hoopeston from 1955 to 1968, and from 1968 to 1980 at Americana Nursing Homes in Monticello, Il, and then North American Health Care from 1980 to 1996 when he retired. Russell was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church; he also served on many committees at the church and in Piatt County. Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home 215 E. Washington Street Monticello, IL. From 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Graveside services will at Floral Hill Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. in Hoopeston, Illinois with Rev Dan Seibert officiating. In lieu of flowers, Donations to: Bement Health Care Center 601 N.
