Russell E. Beals

Russell E. Beals, 73 of Bement, passed away at 5:15 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Jack Root officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Bement Township Cemetery.
Russell was born March 20, 1936 in Sadorous the son of William Amos and Ona Marie (Rippy) Beals. He married Dorothy J. Pulcher on March 6, 1960 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife: Dorothy Beals of Bement, son: Patrick (Cathy) Beals of Monticello, daughters: Brenda (Eric) Gaitros of Champaign and Karen (Paul) Brown of Decatur, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brothers: Max (Joann) Beals and Bob (Ruth) Beals both of Monticello and sister-in-law: Myrna Beals of Urbana. Russell was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother (Dale Beals).
Russell retired from General Cable and then spent his time remodeling old houses. His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Carle Hospice or Monticello Faith-in-Action.
