Royce Reitz

Mr. Royce Reitz, age 74, of Champaign, Ill. formerly of Monticello, died at 5:05 PM, Monday, September 11, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 14, 2006, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello, Ill. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Association.

Mr. Reitz was born November 15, 1931 in Lansing, MI. the son of Sylvester and Wanda (Beck) Reitz. He married Dorothy Horne on June 15, 1957 in Battle Creek, MI.

Surviving are his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Rickard of Fort Myers, Fl., Mrs. Herbert (Barbara) Schultz of Grand Ledge, MI and Mrs. Larry (Joyce) Dunham of Six Lakes, MI..

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother (David) and a sister Marguerite Smith. Also several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reitz served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954. He was retired from the Illinois State Water Survey.
