Robert Weeks Obituary
Robert Oscar Weeks, 83, of Monticello passed away January 23, 2008 at 4:05 am at Kirby Hospital.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Monticello. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Deacon Gene Triplett officiating. Burial will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Robert was born November 12, 1924 in Champaign, the son of Charles Oscar and Bessie (Donahue) Weeks. On January 24, 1953 he married Mary L. Burke in Springfield. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter Gloria (Richard) Helgeson; four grandchildren; Troy, Amy, Scott and Nathan Helgeson; and sister; Loretta Ewing of Champaign.
Robert graduated from Champaign Central High School. He was a bricklayer in the Champaign area; a lifelong member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. He loved his family and home. He enjoyed reading, sports, hunting and fishing.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the St. Philomena Building Fund.
