Robert Spencer Obituary
Robert C. Spencer 89, of White Heath, passed away at 10:16 AM, on June 24, 2009 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Monticello United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Robert was born on January 9, 1920 in Mahomet the son of Charles Robert and Grace Ella (Manuel) Spencer. He married Ruth E. Bragg on February 7, 1956 in Pontiac.
Surviving is his wife; Ruth Spencer of White Heath and son; Ray C. Spencer of White Heath. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Robert was a retired meat inspector for the Illinois State Department of Agriculture. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.
