Robert Roberts Obituary
Robert L. Bobby Roberts, 67, of Monticello, passed away at 9:30 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Heartland Health Care, Champaign.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Seibert officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Bobby was born November 8, 1943 in Decatur, the son of Frank and Eula (Ivey) Roberts. He married Freya F. Finson on March 16, 1990 in Monticello. She passed away November 22, 2005.
Surviving are his children; Todd (Vicki) Roberts of Dallas, GA, Jennifer (Paul) Stearns of Flagstaff, AZ, Dana (Kerry) Rhoades and Melissa (Jim) Whetstone both of Monticello, 7 grandchildren, brothers; Jim Twist of Forsyth, Bill Roberts of Normal, Frank Roberts of Danvers, and Richard Roberts of Beaufort, SC. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Bobby was a retired Illinois State Police Officer. He was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
