Robert E Jones, II "Scooter"

Robert E. Jones, II (Scooter), 50, of Mahomet, died in the early morning on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

As per his wishes, there will be no service.

Rob was born on October 18, 1972 in Urbana to Robert Jones and Linda (nee George) Jones. He was preceded in death by his father on July 27, 2010.

He is survived by his mother, Linda; his sister, Melissa (Richard) Geese of Champaign; 2 nieces, Samantha and Shaunie Raye (Kyle) Zindars; 1 nephew, Shylar Zindars; 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

Scooter was an auto mechanic and after his dad died, he took over the family business as the manager of C-U West in Mahomet. He loved going to the demolition derby and he also enjoyed fishing.

Memorials may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.
