Richard Lee Marshall, 77, of Mahomet, passed away Saturday, June 3rd at his home.
Richard was born on May 17, 1946, in Danville, IL; he was the son of Clifford, Sr. and Bertha (Nelson) Marshall.
Richard graduated from Paxton High School in 1964 and was a member of the Illinois Army National Guard. He was an automobile enthusiast, avid fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors, and a proud father/grandfather.
Richard is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Mary (Bohlen) Marshall of Mahomet; two daughters Lynn (Jeff) Rubarts of Paxton, Michelle (Kelly) Swanson of Paxton, one son Joshua Marshall of Peoria; seven grandchildren Thomas (Lauren) Rubarts, Maisie (Dylan) Kingren, Taylor (Matt) Flynn, Kyler (Courtney) Swanson, Tyler Rubarts, Kendall Swanson, Oaklee Marshall and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Clifford Marshall Jr., Jack Marshall, John Kollman, Robert Kollman and one sister Leona Frye.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund.
