Rhonda Kay Higgins, 54 of Champaign, passed away at 11:06 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.
Rhonda was born September 29, 1954 in Decatur the daughter of Thomas Henry and Mary Frances (Smith) Birley. She married Larry Higgins on May 14, 1993 in Urbana.
Surviving is her husband: Larry Higgins of Champaign, son: Clint Huskisson of Tolono, daughters: Amber Huskisson of Indianapolis, IN and Lisa Stone of Monticello, mother: Mary Birley of Mattoon, sister: Dawn Ferguson of Mattoon, and 8 grandchildren. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father.
Rhonda worked on the Audit Team for Sams Club. She was a member and National Officer of National Council Corvette Clubs, Inc. and club member of Corvette Cruisers of Illinois, Danville, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Lodge American Cancer Society 4215 Lindell Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63108.
