Raymond A. Lange

Raymond A. Lange, 97, of Monticello, passed away at 4:30 a.m., April 10, 2012 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Monticello with Rev. Micah Garnett officiating. Visitation will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Raymond was born on October 25, 1914 in Bellflower, IL, the son of Clarence and Minnie (Albers) Lange. He married Lucile Vivian Anderson on February 17, 1940 in Weedman, IL. She passed away on September 25, 2008.
Surviving are his sons; Larry Lange and Ted Lange both of Monticello, and Mike Lange of Lerna, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a sister; Margie Morrissey of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 sisters.
Raymond farmed until 1965. Upon his retirement from farming he worked for the City of Monticello Street Department. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello.
