Priscilla Kay (Drake) Snyder, 75, passed away on Saturday, December 20 at Carle Hospital.
Priscilla was born March 11, 1950 to Donald and Vivian (Nichols) Drake in Owasso, Michigan, where she lived until she was 13. Her father Don was a railroad man, who worked for Norfolk & Western Railway, and the family moved to Decatur, Illinois in 1963. Priscilla attended the University of Illinois, spending a year abroad in Kiel, Germany, and then ended up teaching German at Urbana High School and Urbana Middle School. With her parents, her husband Russ, and her son Evan, she was able to travel the world from Europe to Africa to South America.
She is survived by her husband Russell Snyder, 78, of Urbana, her brother Stanton Drake, 68, of Carbondale, Illinois, her son Evan Snyder, 44, of Captain Cook Hawaii, and grandchildren Lian, 14, and Sabrina Snyder, 11, also of Captain Cook. No funeral services are planned.
