Phyllis E. Snodgrass-Leavell

Phyllis E. (Snodgrass) Leavell, of Henderson, Kentucky formerly of Monticello, Illinois passed away at 7:56 A.M. on January 5, 2011 at her home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Monticello Township Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Estep officiating. Phyllis was born on October 15, 1941 in Monticello, IL to Herschel and Lucille (Dobkins) Burton. She married Michael Leavell on October 10, 2010 in Henderson, KY. She is survived by her husband, Michael Leavell, and three children; Curtis (Karen) Bowlin of Owensboro, KY, Tresa (Jamie) Johnston of Owensboro, KY, and James Brown of Colorado, and her grandchildren Robert Bowlin, Christy Sanders, Christopher (Selena) Perry, Amanda Mattingly, Kelvin Bullock, Steven Brown, and 6 Great Grandkids. Sister Dorma Beals and mother Lucielle Burton both of Monticello along with several Nieces and Nephews. Phyllis was preceded by her father Herschel Burton, Brother Elvin Burton and grandson Trevor Brown. Phyllis enjoyed being with her family very much; she liked knitting, traveling, and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
