Phyllis Grove Obituary
Phyllis A Grove, 68 of Monticello, passed away at 6:56 AM, Monday, December 15, 2008 at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Monticello United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Brady and Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:30 AM Thursday December 18, 2008 at the church. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Phyllis was born July 3, 1940 in Champaign the daughter of George H. and Irene C. (White) Wittig. She married Jack C. Grove on February 23, 1957 in Monticello.
Surviving is her husband: Jack Grove of Monticello, daughters: Juli Greene and Kristin Dubson both of Monticello, 5 grandchildren, father: George Wittig of Monticello, and brother: Jim Wittig of Bement. She was preceded in death by her mother (Irene) and brother (Ronnie).
Phyllis retired in 1996 as owner of the Monticello Florist. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and home interior decorating.
