Percy Leonard Obituary
Percy D. Leonard, age 89, of Decatur, formerly of Monticello, died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello with Pastor Roger E. Olson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2007. Interment will be held at Monticello Township Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the Donors Choice.
Mr. Leonard was born June 8, 1917 in Missouri the son of Roy and Jesse (Crawford) Leonard. He married Edna Mae Thompson in 1953. She passed away in 1998.
Mr. Leonard is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters (Rosalie Caraway and Elizabeth Daniel), one step sister (Mary Rucker) and three brothers (Leo, Kenneth, and Lester).
Mr. Leonard served with the U.S. Navy and retired from the Signal Depot in Decatur.
