Paul Wayne DeMoss

Paul Wayne DeMoss died at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center on February 13, 2023 in Danville, IL with family at his side. 

Paul DeMoss born on March 4th, 1948 to his parents Ethel Hatfield-DeMoss and Gerald DeMoss. He married Jane Williams on December 15th, 2007 and enjoyed her company and cooking until her death on June 8th, 2018.

After serving in the Army, Vietnam (1967-1969), Paul was honorably discharged prior to working for many years as a heavy equipment operator working out of I.U.O.E. Local 841 (Danville, IL).  Paul enjoyed shooting pool and teaching the game to anyone who would listen, he preferred if Ray Price was playing in the background.

Paul is survived by his daughter Rebecca DeMoss and three nieces; Shani Smith, Shelli Thacker and Shannon Tiller; a large stepfamily including stepchildren John Williams, Leslie Williams, Rebecca Williams, Trina Ard and George Williams.  In addition, Paul is survived by many great grandchildren and Nieces/Nephews.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents Gerald DeMoss and Ethel Hatfield-DeMoss, sister Phyllis A. Fullerton and brother Leroy DeMoss.

We would like to thank the staff of Accolade Healthcare of Danville for loving Paul as one of their own for the past 5 years.

Paul’s Celebration of Life will occur on Sunday February 19th, 2023, from 2-4pm at Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 109 South Lake of the Woods Road, Mahomet, IL
