Paul John Brady

Beloved father and devoted husband, Paul John Brady, passed peacefully the morning of Thursday, December 26, 2024. His early years were spent in Downers Grove, IL and he attended both Lincoln College and Southern Illinois University. A University of Illinois professor, theatrical rigging superintendent and inspector, master gardener and Philo Board of Trustees Member, Paul was a man of many talents who had a great heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marie and Loyd; wife, Julie; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie.

He is survived by children, Eric and Heather; grandchildren, Josh Evans and Kayla (Travis) Voorhees; great grandchildren, Adelaide and Zamora; siblings, Hugh (Renee), Kevin (Donna) and Kristine (Patrick) McGuire and many nieces and nephews.

Per Paul’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at the iHotel and Illinois Conference Center on Saturday, March 15 in the Lincoln Room from 11AM to 3PM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or consider planting a memorial tree.
