Patty Grider Obituary
Patty Y. Grider, 58, of Monticello, passed away at home at 3:38 PM, on Friday, April 22, 2011.
In honor of Pattys wishes, no memorial services will be held. However, a Life Celebration will be announced and held at a later date.
Patty was born March 25, 1953 Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Norman and Vivian (Perkins) Grider.
She is survived by her mother, Vivian Perkins; two children, Tinisha Grider and Tyrel Maynor; sister, LaDonna (Rudisill) Pearl; brothers, Rick Rudisill, Russell Rudisill, and Chad Huisinga; seven grandchildren, Javin, Jonte, Alara, Erlonzo, Michael, Elizabeth, and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews.
Patty worked as a CNA and Unit Clerk at Kirby Hospital, Monticello, for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and riding her horse.
The family would like to thank all of those who prayed for her and provided us comfort and nourishment during her time of illness. Also, a special thank you goes out to all the staff at Kirby Hospital who so lovingly cared for her and showed her family never-ending support in many ways you were wonderful co-workers, friends, and medical professionals.
