Patricia Thompson

Patricia (Arie) Thompson, 88, of Champaign, passed away Thursday evening, March 7, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

She was born September 27, 1935, to Charles and Agnes Arie of Urbana, IL. Pat is survived by her husband Rex Thompson, they were married 71 years. She is also survived by her daughter Kimberly (Jeff) Eichelberger, son Matthew Thompson and her three grandchildren, Mitch (Melissa) Phillips, Taylor Phillips and Conner Thompson great grandchildren, Brayden and Addyson Phillips.

Pat was preceded in death by her son Mark Thompson, son-in-law Michael Phillips and 7 siblings Mary (Maurice) Wood, Thomas (Betty) Arie, Charles (Bonnie) Arie, Ruth (Francis) Miller, James (Joanne) Arie, John (Jeanette) Arie and Judy Arie.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 12 at 9:30 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Seymour. The funeral Mass will begin at 10am at the church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana at 2:00. Owens Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society in Pat’s honor.
