Patricia Castor

Patricia A. Castor, 71, of Mahomet, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, June 21, 2026. 

In accordance with her wishes, Patricia was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Patricia was born on July 23, 1954 in Urbana, daughter of Walter and Mildred (Christian) Birtcher. She married George Castor, Jr. on April 24, 1976 in Champaign. 

She is survived by her husband, George; 2 sons, Nic of Paxton and Kiel (Michelle) of Mansfield; 3 grandchildren, Julien and Teagen Castor and Brenden Farris and 1 brother, Mike (Helen) Birtcher of Tolono. 

Patricia graduated from Parkland College with a degree in art. Her family will always cherish her paintings and artwork that she created. She worked as an orthodontist assistant for many years. In 2005 she began working at SURS, earning her retirement in 2018. In her retirement years she enjoying going out with her husband and their friends. She also loved to travel.
