Nathan Ryan Courtright

Nathan Ryan Courtright born in 1979 in Louisville, KY, died September 17, 2012. Nathan was the son of Rev. J. Gregory and Mrs. Pamela Courtright and brother to Sarah R. Courtright. He graduated from Vandalia High School in 1999. Nathan was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, Monticello, IL. He worked at The Center in Monticello, IL. Nathan participated in the Special Olympics and won several medals in bowling, track and field, and weightlifting. He received Employee of the Month in March 2012 from HRC, Clinton, IL. He enjoyed singing, bowling, swimming, and making people laugh. Nathan is survived by his parents, sister, grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. JB Courtright and Mrs. Ruth Smith all of Cisne, IL). He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Rollie O. Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello and from 10:00 a.m.-Noon, Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Effingham. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Effingham with Rev. John Hartleroad and Rev. Alan Rhein officiating. Interment will be held in Cisne Cemetery, Cisne, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Piatt County Mental Health Center for scholarships to camp or special outings.
