She worked for Champaign Public Health, providing vision and hearing screenings to students in Champaign-Urbana schools until her retirement in 1998.

In addition, she was an avid dirt track racing fan. Nancy could be seen in the bleachers taking stats and cheering on her favorite drivers.
In her retirement years, Nancy took pride in her lovely rose garden. She was a skilled painter and jewelry maker and often invited her grandchildren to join in her creativity. She was famous for her homemade liquor, holiday celebrations, bonfires, and card game skills. Later in life, she enjoyed vacations and cruises with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Dale and Terry Moore, and sister-in-law and friend Linda Moore.
