Michael 'Scott' Chapman

Michael Scott Chapman, 51, passed away peacefully at 11:13 am, Friday, (May 24, 2019) at OSF Hospital, Urbana.

He was born Dec. 28, 1967 in Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Chapman, Linda Chapman and Stepdad Mark Brown, a brother Ronald Chapman, and his beloved dog Tippy.

He is survived by his life partner, Teri Gibbs and her 4 boys and 2 grandchildren; 2 sons, Jonathan Michael and Joshua Scott; 1 daughter, Kristen Michelle Sweeney; 2 brothers, Curtis (Terri), Daniel (Dawn); 1 sister Theresa (Shannon); Skippy, and 4 grandchildren.  He was also known as "Papa Scott" to many close friends and extended family members.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at the VFW, Post 5520, 609 Edgebrook Dr, Champaign on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 3 pm to 7 pm.
