Mary Emma Ziemer, age 75, of Monticello, died at 2:45 AM, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Piatt County Nursing Home in Monticello.
Services were held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Ms. Ziemer was born January 9, 1932 in Monticello, the daughter of Carl Christopher and Mary (Ducey) Ziemer.
Surviving is her brother Larry Ziemer of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Ziemer worked at Sterling Drug in Monticello from 1949-1956. She then worked at General Cable where she became a Certified Purchasing Manager. She was a member of Purchasing Managers Association of Central Illinois which is affiliated with National Association of Purchasing Managers. She served as a corporate board member representing Piatt County in the East Central Illinois Area Agency for Aging.
Memorials may be made to National Captioning Institute, the Piatt County Nursing Home, or the Champaign County Humane Society.
