Mary L. Miller

Mary Lou Miller, 74, of Villa Grove earned her angel wings on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. 

In accordance with her wishes, Mary was cremated. There will be a private service at Grandview Memorial Gardens, where she will be buried in the family plot. Friends may join the family at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 3 from 1-4 pm at Landing Clubhouse (4503 Legends Dr, Champaign).

Mary was born on March 2, 1951 in Champaign, a daughter of Ora and Juanita (Shephard) Bialeschki. She was the devoted wife of a very loving and devoted husband (Mike Miller), a mother of 2 daughters (Chrissy Gerrib and Stacie Raup-Mathews) and 2 fur babies (Miley and Zoe), a grandmother and great grandmother of many and a sister of Jeannie Gaskin of TN, Terry Bialeschki of Urbana and Earl Bialeschki of FL. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby boy and 2 grandchildren, Thomas and Brittany. 

Mary was a lover of animals and always joked with her family that she would keep a monkey if they would allow it. She worked for many years at Swann Special Care Center, where she was devoted to caring for disabled children. Mary then went on to work in a kitchen at U of I, which was perfect for her because she loved to 'cook for an army'.
