Martha Ann Welch

Martha Ann Welch, 80, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Monticello, passed away at 1:27 p.m., on July 22, 2012 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, FL.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Martha was born October 11, 1931, in Bondville, the daughter of George and Lola (Bowman) Young. She married Duane E. Welch on July 2, 1949 in Monticello.
Surviving are her husband; Duane Welch of Leesburg, FL, daughters; Connie (Chuck) Urban of Atwood and Marsha (Richard) Hardman of Fairmont, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a brother; Tom Young of Saybrook and a sister Barbara Jean Lemke of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter (Teresa DeShazo), 1 granddaughter, and 1 brother (Don Yung).
Martha was owner of Threads n Things. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and her hobbies included quilting, planting flowers, and playing cards with her friends.
