Maryann Dillavou, 66, of Monticello died at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Carle Hospital.
A mass will be held at St. Philomena Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010 with inurnment at 11:00 a.m. at the Monticello Township Cemetery
Maryann was born on August 20, 1943, in Elmhurst, IL. She was the daughter of Russell and Irene Henning. She married Larry Dillavou on January 13, 1962. He survives.
Also surviving are 1 sister, Donna (Vern) Zipfel of McKinney, TX, 1 brother Russell Bud (Kitty) Henning, Jr. of Downers Grove, IL; 2 sons, Mark (Helen) Dillavou of Wilmington, NC; Michael (Melanie Brooks) Dillavou of Mahomet; 1 daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Rumple of Mahomet; 4 grandchildren Brandon Brooks of Arcola; Colton Dillavou, Taylor Dillavou, both of Mahomet; and Grace Tew of Wilmington, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Maryann graduated from Downers Grove High School. She owned and operated the restaurant Maryann in Marges Place on the Square in Monticello. She worked as a cook for Deland Weldon Schools and for the students at the University of Illinois. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Maryann loved collecting ceramic pig cookie jars and cookbooks.
She was grateful for the loving attention and care given to her from the nurses and doctors at Carle Hospital.
