Marion Thomas Schweighart, age 74 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Monticello Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Internment will be held at the Monticello Township Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Marion was born August 13, 1933 in Monticello, IL, the son of Wilbur and Josephine (Sullivan) Schweighart. He married Sandra Bennett on June 7, 1958 in Champaign, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughters: Heidi Schweighart of Monticello and Mary Joy Spohrer of Champaign and brothers: Jerry Schweighart of Champaign, John Schweighart of Camargo, and Richard Schweighart of Bloomington.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son (Patrick) and 2 Sisters (Dorothy and Mary Joy).
Marion was a sheet metal worker and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #218.
