Marilyn L. (Brownfield) Trent, 72 of Longview, IL passed away peacefully May 15, 2023 at Carle Hospital in Urbana 8:28pm surrounded by family.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 28 from 2-4 pm at the Elks Pavilion at Lake of the Woods Park in Mahomet.
Marilyn was born on October 27th, 1950 in Urbana, Il to Edward (Bill) and Beatrice Brownfield. She married the Love of her Life Ernest Trent Sept 8, 1973, he precedes her in death.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Beatrice Brownfield Tester (Bob Davison) of Tolono, IL. Her son, Jim Trent (Megan) of Dunlap, IL. Her grandchildren: Jake (Vanessa) Brownfield, Mason & Emelia Trent. Three Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh & Jordyn Brownfield and Brynlee Rumsey. Siblings: Keith (JoAnn) Kuehl, Christinia (James) Blue, Bill (Velta) Brownfield. Also, several Nieces and Nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her brother Seymour Brownfield, her sister Charlene Smith Messer, twin great granddaughters Hailie and Chianne Brownfield and many other loved ones that have gone before.
Marilyn worked as a waitress at Mel Roots and was a Caregiver for many years.
She enjoyed iced coffee, telling stories, making people laugh, watching her soap operas and Gunsmoke. She was a collector of Cardinals and enjoyed looking for them in her backyard. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life.
She will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones.
