Margaret Lilly Obituary
Margaret J. Margie Lilly, 75, of Monticello passed away at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Oman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Margie was born April 11, 1935 in Monticello, the daughter of Theodore and Opha (Stowers) Cook. She married Everett Dale Buddy Lilly on January 17, 1954 in Monticello. He passed away on September 22, 2007.
Survivors include her daughters; Jackie (Dennis Sebens) Lilly of Monticello, Tami (Steve) Hornback of Monticello, son-in-law; Dennis Higgins of Gibson City, grandchildren; Joe (Amy) Higgins of Gibson City, Tim (Kari) Higgins of Monticello, Kati (Daniel) DeGroat of Champaign, great grandchildren; Wyatt and Aubrey Higgins of Gibson City, Abi and Zac Higgins of Monticello, sisters; Joyce Phillips of Lakeland, FL and Helen Snell of Cedar Rapids, IA. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter (Cindy Higgins) and 8 brothers and sisters.
Margie was a housewife. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, quilting, and working with paper mache.
Memorials may be made to the Kirby Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund, Willow Tree Mission, or the Piatt County Nursing Home.
