Margaret Rose Bauman, 90 of Monticello, passed away at 12:05 PM, Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bauler officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Margaret was born July 23, 1918 in Decatur the daughter of William C. and Lola (Yoder) Westervelt. She married Kenneth R. Bauman on May 10, 1941 in Decatur. He passed away November 14, 1990.
Surviving is her daughter: Barbara Lintner of Monticello, grandchildren: Jeffrey Lintner of Blaine, WA and Natalie Lintner of Cincinnati, OH, and 3 great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 brother.
Margaret was a retired funeral director and co-owner of Bauman Funeral Home with her husband. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello; Order of the Eastern Star, Monticello Womens Club, was a Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed painting.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home Halcyon Unit or the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello.
