Lynn Royse Obituary
Lynn Piatt Royse, age 86 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Tatman Village in Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Mr. Royse was born March 14, 1921 in Monticello, the son of Alva T. and Mary E. (Piatt) Royse. He married Irene M. Richardson on December 28, 1946 in Monticello.
Surviving is his wife: Irene Royse of Monticello, sons: Steve Royse and Rick Royse both of Monticello, daughter: Susan Brown of Paragould, Arkansas, 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and 2 sisters (Helen McFeeters and Annabel Chandler)
Mr. Royse was a retired farmer and worked for Piatt County Farm Services and Monticello Grain. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello. Mr. Royse was a loving father and grandfather and also loved reading books. He is descendent of James A Piatt for whom the county is named. Because of Jesus Christ being his lord and savior he is guaranteed a place in heaven.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Provena Hospice Care.
