Lucille Davis Obituary
Lucille E. Davis, 98, of Monticello, formerly of Cape Girardeau, MO, died at 11:00 PM, May 12, 2010 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday May 20, 2010 at the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Cape Girardeau, MO. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Lucille was born August 2, 1911 in Vienna, IL the daughter of Orphus and Pearl (Evans) Kerr. She married Martin Walker on July 8, 1935. He died July 15, 1967. She then married Leslie Davis on December 28, 1969 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He died on November 27, 1971.
Survivors include 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 great nephews, 2 great nieces, and brother-in-law Robert Ruff of Cape Girardeau, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 brothers (Henry and Marvin C. Kerr), and 2 sisters (Nellie J. Ruff and Frances Kerr).
Lucille retired from National Lock in Rockford. . She enjoyed being outside, flower gardening, and family gatherings on Sunday afternoons. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home.
