Louise Summers

Louise Summers, age 69, of Monticello, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at her residence in Monticello, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello with Pastor Jerry Parmley officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Monticello Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello or Carle Hospice.

Mrs. Summers was born October 16, 1937 in New Castle, IN the daughter of James R. and Elsie Laferne (Good) Guffey. She married Donald Lee Summers on September 25, 1958 in Monticello. He passed away January 29, 2002.

Surviving are her son; Terry Summers of Monticello, daughters; Kim Parrish, Vickie Carter, and Toni Summers all of Monticello; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers; J.R. Guffey of TN, Kenny Guffey of OH, George and John Guffey both of KY, sister Roberta May of Urbana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, and three brothers.

Mrs. Summers retired from General Cable in Monticello after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello.
