Lorene J. Ducey

Lorene J. Ducey, 94, long time Monticello resident, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Siebert officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bement Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Ducey was born October 24, 1916 in Logan County, KY the daughter of Charles Allie and Lena Belle (Porter) Jenkins. She married John Glenn Ducey on July 19, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1975
Survivors include her daughters; Joan Lucas of Rantoul and Helen (Anthony) Castrucci of West Chester, PA, 2 grandchildren; Sam Castrucci and Laura Castrucci of West Chester, PA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 sisters, and 6 brothers.
She was a long-time member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. She had been employed by several Monticello Businesses and the University of Illinois Alumni Association from which she retired in 1981.
Memorials may be made to the Faith in Action, the Piatt County Toy and Gift Program, or an organization of the donors choice.
