Lorena J. Maggi

Champaign – Lorena J. Maggi, 87, of Champaign died at 1:29p .m. Monday (May 27, 2024) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Owens Funeral Home, 101 E. Elm St., Champaign on Thursday.  Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Champaign on Friday with a small private service. 

Mrs. Maggi was born March 20, 1937 in Springfield, MA.  She was the oldest daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Harnois. Lorena is preceded in death by her late husband John P. Maggi.  She is survived by her two brothers; two sisters; five children: Robert J. Maggi, Annmarie Maggi, Ronald J. Maggi, Marcella A. Maggi, and Michael R. Maggi; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

Memorials can be made to Champaign County Humane Society, or an organization of the donor’s choice.
